Great Estates Landscaping Acquires G&G Landscape

Great Estates Landscaping, a creator of lasting impressions designed to highlight the natural beauty across the community, today announced its expansion through the purchase of G & G Landscape, a Covington-based landscaping company. The deal was finalized Friday at its office in Covington.

G & G Landscape has been operating in the community for 19 years. Gary Campbell, owner and Newton County resident, decided it was time to exit the business and thought Great Estates would be a good fit for his company.

“I saw a lot of similarities in the way our companies do business. It was the perfect mix for two local companies to grow,” said Campbell.

Both G & G Landscape and Great Estates Landscaping were part of Mayor Johnston’s community revitalization project last year. Campbell enjoyed his work giving back to the community and maintained contracts working with the both the city and county.

“I didn’t do it to make a living; I did it for fun,” said Campbell.

Great Estates president and chief executive officer, Keith Kelly, is excited about the deal.

“Our company has been doing business in Covington for more than 20 years, and we have found the community thriving. We are excited for this opportunity to expand our business in both Newton and Rockdale counties, and hope to continue Gary’s legacy of community partnership.”

Great Estates Landscaping will retain G & G Landscape employees. Campbell will continue to consult with Great Estates Landscaping through the transition period to ensure a smooth joining of the companies.
